I. SYSTEM OVERVIEW
Sirellen is the origin system of Pelari civilization and the First Crown System — the point from which all other Pelari expansion is measured. It is not the most scientifically active system in Pelari space, nor the most ecologically engineered. Its significance is prior to those categories. Everything the Pelari have built elsewhere was built by individuals who came from here, or from organisms that were grown here, or according to principles the Concord root on Naluum'thar first developed and remembered.
The system organizes itself across three bands. The inner band — Ilyr'shah and Vaeluun — is defined by extremity and specialized function: a tidally locked observatory world and a mineral-dense shallow sea world worked by purpose-grown cultivation lineages. Naluum'thar anchors the center, oceanic and wholly inhabited, its three moons managing the tidal architecture that shapes Pelari biological time. The outer band extends through Sehlaith's ring system and its inhabited moons, the ice preservation world Tareth-Vuun, and finally Oruun'shiel at the system's threshold — the world from which the Pelari first departed into interstellar space, and where they still stage their departures today.
Each body in Sirellen carries a distinct function, and those functions do not overlap. This is not an accident of geography. Pelari relationship to the home system is long and deliberate; the roles of individual bodies have been understood, named, and maintained across timescales that exceed the Terran written record.
Sirellen is an F9V subgiant — a star past its main-sequence peak, measurably more luminous now than during the era of Pelari emergence. The shift is slow by any measure a living Pelari would experience directly, but the Concord's oldest memory holds the record of it: light levels from Naluum'thar's early deep ocean, spectral signatures measured from Ilyr'shah across more than four thousand years of continuous monitoring, accumulated output data stretching further into discontinuous records before that. Sirellen has brightened by approximately 6–8% over the period of recorded Pelari history. The trend continues.
Pelari do not treat this as a crisis. The deep ocean of Naluum'thar is a thermal buffer of sufficient depth that surface-level changes in stellar output translate to interior conditions only across geological timescales, and Pelari bioengineering has adjusted surface and mid-depth ecologies incrementally as the need has arisen. What the brightening represents, in Pelari cultural and scientific terms, is the longest continuously tracked datum in their civilization — a measurement that predates their spaceflight, predates the Concord's networked form, predates almost every institution they have. Sirellen's slow unfolding is the backbone of Pelari deep-time awareness. The star is not threatening to change. It is changing, as it always has, and the Pelari are watching.
Orbital Overview
Sirellen's six primary planets arrange themselves across three bands with little ambiguity. The inner band occupies the 0.3–0.7 AU range: Ilyr'shah close to the star, tidally locked, and Vaeluun in the mid-inner system with its mineral-dense shallow seas. Naluum'thar sits at 1.1 AU in the center of the habitable zone, accompanied by its three moons. The outer band begins with Sehlaith at 4.8 AU — the system's gas giant anchor, ringed, with a full moon ecology of its own — and continues outward through Tareth-Vuun at 9.2 AU and Oruun'shiel at 18.4 AU.
A navigator entering from standard approach vectors encounters Naluum'thar's bioluminescent orbital signature well before the planet resolves into surface detail. The interplanetary medium carries no dense biological infrastructure — Sirellen's ecology developed rather than was engineered from the outset, and the space between its worlds reads as space rather than as substrate. What the approach does register is traffic: Leviathans converging on the Sehlaith approach corridor from multiple vectors, bioship movement along the Oruun'shiel departure lanes, the occasional pulse of light from Naluum'thar's deep bioluminescent zones visible against the dark side of the planet during orbital transit.
Naluum'thar
"The Endless Pulse"
The oceanic homeworld and civilizational center of the Pelari. Features natural IM-9 trench deposits, planet-wide bioluminescent currents, and a three-moon harmonic tidal system (Virellen, Osyrah, Kaelen) that shapes biological time and societal cycles.

Sirellen's bodies do not function as isolated units in Pelari institutional terms. The Naluum'thar Concord root holds the system's oldest and deepest archive, but several bodies contribute continuously to what that archive contains. Ilyr'shah's stellar monitoring organisms transmit output data to Naluum'thar through biological signal chains maintained across the full inner-system distance. Saeryth transmits outer-system observational data from Sehlaith's moon. Oruun'shiel holds departure and return records that feed into the Concord's navigation memory. The combined effect is a system-wide distributed biological record with Naluum'thar at its center.
The continuous stellar output record held by the Concord represents the longest uninterrupted empirical dataset in Pelari civilization. It predates the Tri-Species Compact by over three thousand years and predates Pelari spaceflight by a significant margin. The record documents Sirellen's brightening across more than four thousand years of systematic measurement, with older discontinuous records extending the picture further. For Pelari science, the record's value is not primarily predictive but as a calibration baseline for every other stellar monitoring system in Pelari space.
Sirellen is Sovereign Pelari Territory under the Tri-Species Compact. Terran vessels enter and operate under Pelari Concord coordination. The Vaethen'torh Cradle station in Naluum'thar orbit is the primary Terran arrival and coordination point for the system.
Sirellen's strategic value to the UTC is diplomatic and scientific in roughly equal measure. As the Pelari homeworld system, it is the physical center of the most important allied relationship in Terran space. Scientific value concentrates in three areas: Naluum'thar's IM-9 origin deposits, the Concord memory archive and its implications for long-cycle biological computing, and the Sirellen brightening record as a calibration resource.
Any incident that reads as disrespect toward the homeworld system or its cultural protocols carries disproportionate diplomatic weight. Terran personnel operating in Sirellen hold this regardless of their immediate assignment. Recommendation: Maintain current access arrangements. Expansions of Terran presence require significant scientific justification and sustained diplomatic groundwork.
Open Research Questions
Research Question 01
What is the long-term trajectory of the Sirellen brightening, and at what point does it become ecologically consequential for Naluum'thar?
Sirellen's brightening is documented and its current rate understood. The stellar evolutionary pathway for an F9V subgiant is also broadly understood. What remains open is the question of threshold: at what luminosity increase does the deep ocean's thermal buffering capacity become insufficient to absorb the change without meaningful mid-depth temperature shifts, and on what timescale does that threshold arrive? Pelari biological modeling of this question exists but has not been shared with AXIOM in detail.
Research Question 02
Are Vaeluun's cultivation lineages diverging from their source lineages in ways the Pelari have not fully assessed?
The purpose-grown lineages that inhabit Vaeluun's mineral seas have been in place for several centuries in some cases. Their environment selects for traits that standard Pelari biological lineages do not produce — mineral tolerance, chemical gradient navigation, and thermal tolerance at Vaeluun's equatorial surface temperatures. Whether the Pelari maintain active genetic oversight of these lineages or have allowed them to develop under selection pressure without active management is not documented in AXIOM records.
Research Question 03
What is the full extent of the Concord memory archive, and does it contain records of pre-spaceflight Pelari civilization not accessible through other means?
AXIOM's understanding of the Naluum'thar Concord root's depth and content is partial. The archive's age is acknowledged by Pelari sources; its full scope has not been characterized in terms Terran science can independently verify. If it holds continuous biological records extending to the pre-spaceflight era, it may contain ecological and historical data about early Pelari civilization that no other source preserves.
