The page is structured as an analyst evidence file, because the source itself is not confirmation. It is a case being kept alive.
VEYDRAN
A file kept alive
This file has been open for nine years. In that time it has received no formal review, no resource allocation, and no response to four separate requests for a deep-survey team dispatch to the Kethari Expanse.
I am not claiming the Veydran are confirmed. I am claiming the evidence has changed materially since this file was opened, that no alternative hypothesis accounts for the full body of evidence, and that this record deserves permanent status.
If the Veydran are real and behave as described, someone will eventually need this file. I intend to make sure it exists when they do.
Unconfirmed is not nothing
Common name: The Veydran
Origin: Unknown
First contact: None confirmed
Population: Unknown
Technology: Unknown / advanced by account
The Veydran are a provisional AXIOM designation for a putative spacefaring entity or civilization referenced in frontier oral tradition, deep-survey crew accounts, Pelari records, and a degraded Chorus fragment.
The official position remains unconfirmed. No living specimen, vessel wreckage, confirmed first contact event, or biological sample has been recovered.
The strongest evidence is KE-7, a petrified terrestrial world with exotic mineral formations, plus two unrelated archive samples that match the KE-7 polymorph signature.
Stillness, then speed
Stillness, then speed. Witnesses do not describe a slow entity. They describe a dark crystalline mass that is inert until it moves too quickly for its apparent size.
The sound is the warning: subsonic grinding, then rapid crackling or electrical frequency roughly two seconds before movement.
Conventional weapons produce no decisive result. Electronic systems fail during movement and recover after distance or stillness.
Evidence chain
KE-7 showed no living biological matter, a petrified planetary surface, exotic crystalline formations across roughly 73% of surveyed terrain, and no known catastrophe sufficient to explain the surface state.
VEY-S01 was recovered in 2931 CE from Harrow Belt HB-221. Its polymorph composition matches KE-7 surface samples at 94% confidence.
VEY-S02 was recovered from the derelict hauler Cassiveth. Its fused hull material matches KE-7 surface samples at 91% confidence.
SHAL'VEYDRIS
Fragments and frontier memory
Pelari records call it walking stone-death or crystal hunger. A Chorus fragment warns not to approach what does not see you. Frontier communities remember crystal giants, stone plague, and the grinding dark. None of it proves the Veydran. All of it refuses to disappear.
The file exists for later
The case for Veydran reality rests on KE-7, two matching crystalline samples, a possible third sample, eleven testimony accounts, partial Pelari and Chorus corroboration, and a persistent frontier legend with unusual internal consistency.
The case against remains significant: no confirmed living specimen, no confirmed vessel recovery, no confirmed first contact, and testimony that cannot be fully reconciled.
Current threat classification is low because evidence is insufficient for escalation. That is not the same thing as no threat.
We do not know where it is now. We may, eventually, wish we had looked sooner.
